WOKSHOP: Be quietly moved / Stil bewogen

26 Feb 2026 | 13:45 - 15:00
Eduoard Remy Care Home (DoRemy)

Through the workshop Stil Bewogen (Quietly Moved), caregivers gain insights into how to connect with people living with dementia in a deeper, more meaningful way — while also finding calm and grounding for themselves as caregivers. Not through words, but through subtle touch and movement, Stil Bewogen creates moments of genuine connection and tranquillity, for both residents and staff.

WOKSHOP: Be quietly moved / Stil bewogen

Workshop by Anabel Schellekens and Katja Pire

During the workshop, you will experience this sense of connection firsthand. You will sharpen your ability to listen physically, allowing a shared physical dialogue to emerge. The dancers of inti vzw developed this care-focused programme, as well as an accompanying train-the-trainer intensive, with the support of the Department of Care and Welfare.

Some reflections from participants:

“I felt a real sense of connection. It warmed me from within.”
(Care professional, Aymonshof)

“I stepped into the unknown world of Stil Bewogen with curiosity and found an unexpected sense of deep calm. What touched me most was how quickly and warmly the connection with our residents living with dementia emerged. It was beautiful to see how they came into motion — both literally and figuratively. I’m already looking forward to the next session.”
(Care professional, Dommelhof)

“You gave me the strength to fall in love with my work again.”
(Support worker, De Liberteyt)
