Your emptiness is not as empty as you think Work-in-progress with circus artist Amanda Homa and Gijs Coenen

In her work, Amanda Homa explores how materials can shift and transform. Using aluminium wire — light, flexible, yet remarkably strong — she renders processes visible that usually remain hidden. She draws lines into space and leaves behind subtle, fragile traces of change.

During the Fringe Festival, Amanda will spend ten days in Leuven, engaging in an artistic exchange with visual artist Gijs Coenen. Like a kind of blind date, they will discover each other’s practices and look for points of connection in the way they see and create. In this sharing, they won’t present a traditional work-in-progress of a new piece; instead, they will wander together with the audience through what has emerged from their encounter.
