Artist talk Amanda Homa
Circus artist Amanda Homa explores how language shapes us. She works with aluminium, a material that bends, deforms, and leaves traces - just as language does with our bodies and identities. In the air, a physical dialogue emerges about self-expression and the invisible imprint of change.
For Fringe, she is in residence in Leuven for 10 days, collaborating with Leuven-based visual artist Gijs Coenen. Like a blind date, they discover each other’s work and seek common ground. From Amanda’s practice and with Gijs’s expertise, they’ll drift together and tell a new artistic story.
