Workshop What Would Nature Say? By LOV2030

27 Feb 2026 | 14:00 - 15:15
STUK, Naamsestraat 96, 3000 Leuven (Starting Point)

What if plants had something to say? And what if you truly took the time to listen? In this hands-on workshop, you walk from STUK to the Botanical Garden and step into a world of sound, care and nature.

This workshop is offered by LOV2030 – Leuven & Beyond European Capital of Culture 2030 – and fully aligns with its theme HumanNature, exploring new ways to reconnect humans and nature through care, listening and shared experience.

Workshop What Would Nature Say?

Artist Lotte Nijsten (Landforms) guides you through her research on listening as a way to connect. You’ll hear what it sounds like when plants are being watered — an intimate, surprising soundscape that makes the relationship between humans and the more-than-human world tangible.

Along the way, you sharpen your senses. Part of the walk is done blindfolded, giving your eyes a break and opening space to really hear what is alive around you.

Podcast maker Emma Ducheyne (RITCS) interviews Lotte and records the workshop. Afterwards, she turns it into a short podcast, so the experience continues to resonate.

This active workshop invites you to sense outside the box. Clear your head, step outside, and listen to the voice of nature. Grab your coat, trust the process, and explore Leuven in a different way. You’ll laugh, learn, and leave with a healthy glow on your face.

Who can join? There is room for 15 participants.
