The tradition continues: on Thursday, 24 September 2026, Leuven will once again kick off the new academic year with Student Welcome Leuven 2026. Start the academic year in the best possible way and enjoy an evening filled with great vibes, music and new connections, as students come together to celebrate the beginning of the academic year.
This year, students are taking the lead. With the support of the City of Leuven, KU Leuven and Oude Markt Leuven vzw, they will be responsible for the event's programming and production. More than ever, Student Welcome is an event for students, by students, with their ideas, creativity and commitment at the heart of this year's edition.
