Radio Klebnikov goes queer!

29 Nov 2025 | 18:00 - 20:00
Maakleerplek (binnenplaats)

What makes radio queer? Radio Klebnikov and Queer Leuven explore this in the first edition of Queer Radio. Free lyricism has always been queer at heart, but this time they go further. Everyone is welcome to listen or contribute texts and voices that amplify queer perspectives.

Radio Klebnikov goes queer!

With Radio Klebnikov goes queer, Klebnikov and Queer Leuven investigate how radio can become a queer space. This first edition explores the boundaries of free lyricism, sound, and identity. Klebnikov’s programme - playing with language, poetry, and experiment for years - has always been a little queer in essence. Now that queerness is made explicit, celebrated, and expanded.

Radio Klebnikov goes queer invites collective creation and cracks open the airwaves. Everyone is welcome to listen to the broadcast or to share texts, sounds, or poetic fragments resonating with queer experiences. Anything goes: from spoken word to radio art, from intimate stories to abstract sounds.

Listening is also participating. Come discover how queer sounds can sound - raw, soft, unexpected. Be moved by the voices and rhythms that together form an alternative ether, full of freedom, vulnerability, and imagination.

Toegankelijkheid
maakleerplek strives to be as open and accessible as possible within its temporary setup. A drop-off area is available for visitors with limited mobility. All spaces in the Molens van Orshoven are accessible to everyone via an elevator. maakleerplek provides a temporary use for a former factory building. Unfortunately, the inner courtyard of the Molens van Orshoven is less well adapted to the needs of people with limited mobility or disabilities.
