Concert LABsounds x INUIT A sizzling concert night with Max Forage and Fishbowl
LABsounds is a quirky, experimental concert series at BAC ART LAB. For this winter edition, we join forces with INUIT. Expect an evening of atmospheric sounds: the trip-hop of Max Forage is purely hypnotising, and beforehand you can drift away to the melancholic indie pop of Fishbowl.
LABsounds is a series of idiosyncratic, experimental (pop) concerts at BAC ART LAB, KU Leuven’s workspace for contemporary art. For this winter edition, we team up with INUIT to bring Max Forage and Fishbowl to Leuven.
Max Forage
Max Forage is the pop project of Max Winters. He offers a fresh take on trip-hop, playing with downtempo grooves and experiment. Think the immersive depth of Massive Attack, the raw experimentation of Young Fathers, and the layered sensitivity of Dean Blunt - fused into a singular sound.
Breakbeats propel his voice while flashes of post-punk, early blues, and voodoo elements bubble up. The result is downright hypnotic.
Fishbowl
Fishbowl is a melancholic indie band from Antwerp. The sound of Lena Julian (vocals, guitar) and Lena Beck (bass) recalls iconic bands like Mazzy Star, Bess Atwell, Big Thief, and Porridge Radio. Dreamy and enchanting, yet powerful. The honest lyrics of Lena Julian complete the picture.
This year they are Young Artist in Residence at music centre Trix, where they are working on their first EP.
