Tinne Claes, Academic Director of the new Vesalius Museum in Leuven, studies how medical history and museum practices may shape public debates on health.
Prof. dr. Tinne Claes is a historian and curator and serves as Academic Director of the new Vesalius Museum in Leuven, dedicated to science, healthcare, and society. As Research Professor at KU Leuven, she works on the intersections of medical history, museum practice, and public debates on health and ethics. She highlights underrepresented perspectives such as those of patients and informal carers and applies participatory methods like oral history and co-curation.
