Junior Akwety Belgium/Congo
Junior Akwety is a Belgian-Congolese multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of music, theatre, pedagogy, and collective creation. As a singer, actor, dramaturg, and artistic coach, his practice explores how artistic processes can function as spaces of care, memory, and community building.
Active within institutions such as KVS and the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, and as co-founder of the non profit organization Maisha, Akwety develops projects that connect performance, education, and social engagement. His work foregrounds artistic freedom and the building of bridges between people, with music and movement as key tools for collective encounter.
