Completing a postgraduate program in Applied Ecopsychology, Grietje explores how nature and art can contribute to mental health and wellbeing within care and cultural contexts. At the Middelheim Museum, her passions for nature, art, and wellbeing come together in projects that position the museum as an open, connective space. She coordinates “Bypass”, a long-term co-creation project creating a shared space where art, nature, and culture support the mental health and wellbeing of young people. The project is co-created with young people and caregivers (ZAS/UKJA), researchers (UAntwerpen), designers, and city partners (Stad Antwerpen), emphasizing participation, collaboration, and shared ownership.
