Femke Paulussen is Head of Collections at Vesalius Museum. Drawing on her background in heritage and participatory practice, she works towards a polyvocal approach to healthcare collections, translated into a public programme based on object-based learning. At the museum she initiates the project ‘Use with Care’: starting from three disciplines that many people encounter throughout their lives (gynaecology, paediatrics, and geriatrics) and tested across five collections with participatory focus groups, methodologies for multivocal documentation will be developed.
